Changes coming to Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Voice Mail System

By Fort Stewart Network Enterprise Center (NEC)May 19, 2011

FORT STEWART, Ga. - On Friday, the Network Enterprise Center will change to a new Voice Mail System. The installation of the new voice mail system is part of a comprehensive upgrade of the Fort Stewart voice network being implemented under the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP).

Fort Stewart is making incremental changes to its voice and data networks that will improve the quality and reliability of communication services. The voice mail access number for Call Pilot will remain the same (912-767-9799). The new voice mail system keeps all of the same basic commands (for example, press "2" to play a message; press "76" to delete a message). Voice mail users, however, will not be able to use their phone number or sequential strings like "123456" as a password. Voice mail boxes must be emptied prior to May 20.

To assist customers with this change, a new Let's Talk Pamphlet and a new Voice Mail Instructions document is available on the Fort Stewart Intranet site at https://intra.stewart.army.mil/ and on the IMO Share Folder at stewdoima704SharesPublicIMOTelephone. Additionally, customers that experience issues with the new voice mail system after implementation are asked to contact the Fort Stewart NEC Telephone Help Desk at 912-767-8181.
