ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. -- Two members of the U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity were recently named winners of the 2010 R.A. Evans and P.K. McElroy Best Paper Award by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Ed Habtour and Gary Drake of AMSAA's Reliability Branch were lauded for their contributions to the paper, "Improved Reliability Testing with Multiaxial Electrodynamics Vibration."

The Evans/McElroy Best Paper award is given to the author(s) of technical papers presented at the annual Reliability and Maintainability Symposium, one of the nation's premier reliability, availability, and maintainability engineering events. The paper demonstrates superior comprehension of technical material and positively contributes to reliability and maintainability research.

The award-winning paper, developed in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) at the University of Maryland, addresses reliability concerns with next-generation, electronics-rich DoD platforms.
