Serving spicy flavor are Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region/Military District of Washington staff members conducting their annual Chili cook-off competition fundraiser, at Fort McNair, April 27. The Chili Cook-off competition is the first event of the MDW Commanders Trophy competition that will be presented at the command's Organizational Day in August.

Paying customers began arriving at 1130 and were charged $5.00 for as many samples of chili they could eat, and would be given a public vote ticket to vote for their favorite. There were also other types of food present for the non-chili eaters.

Winner of the Chili cook-off this year was "Heaven's Chili" by Pvt. 1st Class Stephen Chappell, SJA. The runner up's were "Hell's Kitchen" by Master Sgt. Jason Travis, J36, "The Chili is Great" by Col. Scott Sanborn, Army Air Operations Group, and "Sucker Punch" by Dave Stone, J37.

Master Sgt. Angela Mayo-Aiken, J/G4 Logistics Specialist and Felicia Hunter, AAOG, coordinated the event.
