• CONTIGENCY OPERATING BASE BASRA, Iraq - Chaplain (Maj) Wayne W. Mays, 36th Inf. Div. Chaplain, says a few encouraging words to Fredericksburg, Va. native, Cpl. (Retired) Isaiah Schaffer, during an office call on April 26.  Schaffer, a Marine with Small Craft Company 2nd Marine Division, sustained numerous combat injuries in 2004 and 2005 in Hiditha and Ramadi, and came to Iraq as part of Operation Proper Exit to receive closure and witness first-hand the changes brought about through his sacrifices and those of fellow Wounded Warriors.   • CONTIGENCY OPERATING BASE BASRA, Iraq - Cpl. Matt Bradford, along with seven other Wounded Warriors, speaks with service members at the Chapel here on April 26.  Bradford, a Marine with the Wounded Warrior Battalion East at Camp Lejeune, returned to Iraq to receive closure and to tell his story to other service members during Operation Proper Exit.
