WHEELER ARMY AIRFIELD, Hawaii, April 16, 2011 -- "Book'em, Dan-O" is one of the most well- known pop culture phrases in television history, and with revival of the popular TV series "Hawaii Five-O," some Soldiers have been involved in action sequences set in Honolulu.

Soldiers from the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade provided UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and ground vehicles while assisting the production crew in safely shooting aerial scenes on two separate occasions.

During the first event, filmed Jan. 12, 2011, the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, or CAB, participated in an episode where a tsunami warning was called for the island of Oahu. Aircraft from 2nd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, "Diamond Head," 25th CAB provided a UH-60 Black Hawk for the scene.

Ground vehicles and Soldiers during the tapings came courtesy of 2nd Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, "Lightning Horse," 25th CAB. Aerial footage used in the episode was shot by the 25th Infantry Division Public Affairs.

The second event where the 25th CAB provided support was during scenes for an aerial rescue with aircraft and crews from C Company, "Dustoff," 3rd Battalion, 25th General Support Aviation Battalion, 25th CAB. Soldiers filmed scenes with Daniel Day-Kim, and served as stand-ins for safety purposes, at Kahana Valley State Park, near Kailua, Hawaii, March 1, 2011.

The 25th CAB provided a UH-60A Black Hawk medical evacuation helicopter for the two scenes, one which required operating the aircraft's hoist during the taping.

With return of the popular television series, both to Hawaii and the small screen, a beneficial partnership has formed between the show and 25th Infantry Division Soldiers, particularly those of the 25th CAB.
