Keep The Shiny-Side Up
In biker language, "Keep the shiny side up" means ride safely. Dennis Kreps, an instructor for Fort Meade's Army Traffic Safety training program, explains a few rules of the road to Dave Bechtel (center) and Kyle Sullivan as part of a Motorcycle Safety Course as the Fort Meade Installation Safety Office kicked off its 2011 motorcycle training season last week. Prior to operating a motorcycle, Army personnel are required to successfully complete an Army-approved Motorcycle Safety Course. Training is provided at no cost. For training dates, additional information and to register, visit the Installation Safety Office website at http://www.ftmeade.army.mil/pages/safety/safety.html
