Three Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command members were honored by Saint Louis University's Billiken Basketball Team for their military service during a home game Feb. 26 at the Chaifetz Arena.
With an enthusiastic crowd cheering them on, Will White, logistics specialist; Lt. Christopher Tunning, aide-de-camp to the deputy commanding general; and Staff Sgt. Jason Lewis, transportation specialist, were honored and presented an autographed basketball by team members during a time out. White was recognized as the founder of Camp Hope which is a wellness retreat in Missouri for combat wounded service members to participate in outdoor activities. Tunning and Lewis were recognized for specific achievements during their military service.
