Culinary Competition for NCR Specialists

Senior Enlisted leaders from the various military services in the National Capital Region were hosted by Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington Command Sgt. Maj., Michael W. Williams, at Fort McNair Feb. 17 to discuss future events and personnel issues. Included in these discussions was the NCR Cook of the Year competition. According to Williams, the competition will provide an opportunity for NCR Culinary Specialists to be recognized for excellence and represent the NCR at the annual Culinary Arts Competition at Fort Lee. The competition will be open to all Culinary/Food Service Specialists in the NCR from any service that wants to participate. Its currently planned for a selection board to be held late 2011 or early 2012.
