Col. Eric Zellars, General Funds Enterprise Business System Deployment and Transformation director, briefs senior Rock Island Arsenal leaders about the new financial management system in the Baylor Conference Room on Feb. 23. GFEBS will be the Army's system of record for general fund disbursement, financial accounting, and real property accountability and will replace legacy financial systems such as Standard Army Finance Information System and Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System. Plans call for the new system to be phased in at Army Sustainment Command and its Army Field Support Brigades starting in April 2011 and completely implemented by January 2012. GFEBS meets the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff of the Army's objective to create an integrated management system that provides leaders with timely and accurate information.
