FORT JACKSON, S.C. -- Newly sworn-in South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley announced Friday that Col. Kevin Shwedo, former post deputy commanding officer, has been appointed to head up the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles. Shwedo, a 32-year Army veteran, retires this month.
