RDECOM elements recognized in R&D Lab of the year awards

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. - Five U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command organizations are being recognized as recipients of the 2007 Research and Development Laboratory of the Year Awards in three different categories.

The Army Laboratory Assessment Group, a group of science and technology experts from academia, industry and government, conducted the review of the laboratories and collaborative teams.

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. was selected as the Research Laboratory of the Year and the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, Edgewood, Md., was selected as the Small Development Laboratory of the Year.

The four winners in the Collaboration Team of the Year category are:

A formal awards ceremony will be conducted at the Army Acquisition Corps Annual Awards ceremony October 7.
