ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Rock Island, Ill. - Beat the post-holiday blues this month by helping your community and yourself. The King Day of Service on Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 17, offers you the opportunity to spend a day helping your community in a direct way.

The social connection and sense of shared purpose that one gains from community service can often help one feel better. However, if you haven't been feeling well lately and nothing seems to help, consider taking a free screening offered by the Rock Island Arsenal Employee Assistance Program.

These screenings can help you detect common mental health conditions that you can't just snap out of. However, with treatment you can be on your way to feeling like your old self again. The screenings are available at www.mentalhealthscreening.org/screening enter keyword ASAP. Screenings are confidential and you will receive immediate feedback along with steps you can take if you are concerned about your results.
