FORT McPHERSON, Ga. (Oct. 25, 2010) -- U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Commanding General, General James D. Thurman, will issue the FORSCOM Campaign Plan (2011-2015) on Oct. 26, 2010.

"The FORSCOM Campaign Plan describes my vision to man, equip and train our Soldiers to operate in a dynamic, complex environment," said Gen. Thurman. "The plan is synchronous with the Army Campaign Plan, and focuses on our output-trained and ready forces capable of skillfully executing full spectrum operations anywhere in the world our capabilities are needed."

Gen. Thurman continued, "The plan lays out our strategy to achieve my vision during fiscal years 2011 to 2015 through four Lines of Effort: Sustain, Prepare, RESET and Transform. It also demonstrates FORSCOM's commitment to the continuous improvement of our mission processes that support the Army's core process of Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN)."

FORSCOM's mission is to train, mobilize, deploy, sustain, transform and reconstitute conventional forces in order to provide a sustained flow of relevant and ready land power to combatant commanders worldwide in defense of the nation.

Copies of the FORSCOM Campaign Plan will be on hand at the Association of the U.S. Army National Meeting and Exposition. It will also be available online at www.army.mil/forscom.
