Army Safety leaders hone knowledge, skills

Fort Rucker, Ala. - Army safety senior leaders and officers from all over the world will gather in Panama City Beach, Fla., Sept. 12-17 during the Army's capstone safety annual professional development event in an ongoing robust effort to reduce accidental fatalities and injuries Army-wide, both off and on duty.

"Safeguarding Soldiers, Families and Civilians" is a central theme for the bi-annual symposium for senior Army Leaders and safety professionals.

Scheduled speakers include Brig. Gen. William T. Wolf, Director of Army Safety; Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch, commanding general, U.S. Army Installation Management Command and Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management; Gen. Peter W. Chiarelli, vice chief of staff, U.S. Army; and Lt. Gen. Daniel Bolger, deputy chief of staff, U.S. Army.

The 2010 Army Senior Safety Symposium will bring together Army safety professionals to meet and determine the best course forward to continue the success of the Army Safety Program.
