IMCOM-E CYSS hosts two workshops focused on anti-bullying education, parenting wit and wisdom

HEIDELBERG, Germany - Installation Management Command-Europe's Child, Youth & School Services is sponsoring two workshops Sept. 23 focused on anti-bullying education and parenting wit and wisdom open to all Army Europe members focused on the health and welfare of youth.

Workshops are:

Workshop Title: The Bully, the Bullied, and the Bystander - Breaking the Cycle of Violence

What: Bullying & Violence-Prevention Training.

Who: This workshop is presented by Ms. Barbara Coloroso.

Where: Village Pavilion, Patrick Henry Village, Heidelberg, Germany.

When: Thursday, Sept. 23, 1-5 p.m.

Cost: $25 for afternoon session; pre-registration is required.

Target Audience: Child & Youth Development Professionals, Educators, Counselors, School Administrators, Law-Enforcement Personnel, Army Community Service Staff, Youth-Serving Organizations, and Military & Civilian Community Leaders.

Workshop Title: Kids Are Worth It - Teaching with Wit & Wisdom

What: Facilitation & Classroom-Management Training.

Who: This workshop is presented by Ms. Barbara Coloroso.

Where: Village Pavilion, Patrick Henry Village, Heidelberg, Germany.

When: Thursday, Sept. 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Cost: This workshop is free and open to the general public. No pre-registration is required.

Target Audience: Child & Youth Development Professionals, Educators, Counselors, School Administrators, Army Community Service Staff, Youth-Serving Organizations, and Parents.

This training is a collaborative effort between Installation Management Command (IMCOM)-Europe Child, Youth & School (CYS) Services; Army Community Services; the Family Advocacy Program; and the Center of Expertise for Youth Programs, a Family and Morale, Welfare & Recreation Command-CYS Services office.

About the presenter: Barbara Coloroso is a bestselling author and, for the past 30 years, an internationally-recognized speaker and consultant on parenting, teaching, positive school climate, non-violent conflict resolution, and grieving.
