USASAC welcomes new IM Division chief

Johanna Crawford recently joined the <a href="http://www.army.mil/usasac" target="_blank">U.S. Army Security Assistance Command</a> as the Information Management Division chief at Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

Prior to this assignment, she served as the assistant chief information officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Va.

Crawford was born in the Netherlands and joined the United States Army after her parents immigrated to the United States. After her assignment, she started her 18 year IT career, which included assignments at the Fort Leavenworth DOIM and Schweinfurt, Germany, Network Services Center. Crawford has managed IT Departments for more than eight years.

Crawford received her Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, and her Masters Degree in Information Systems Management from Florida Institute of Technology. She is Information Technology Infrastructure Library certified.

Crawford and her husband have four children.
