2010 Combined Federal Campaign begins at APG

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md., -- Aberdeen Proving Ground will conduct the 2010 Combined Federal Campaign from September 1st through December 15th and hopes to exceed $485,000 in donations from over 1,653 donors.

Last year APG raised $518,776. The average donation for 2009 was $313.84.

The overall goal for Chesapeake Bay Area CFC has increased to $6.5 million for the 2010 campaign.

The theme for this year's campaign is "Together We Will Make a Difference."

Federal employees can make donations by check, cash, or payroll deduction. CBA CFC Online Pledge System will be open 24 hours, 7 days a week to all civilian and Military personnel starting September 1st. Temporary personnel, retirees, reserves, and contractors are permitted to donate to CFC by cash or check only.

Although key workers cannot solicit contractor employees working at APG, contractors are permitted to contribute to the CFC by cash or check. Individuals outside the installation may also donate contributions.

Donor recognition levels for this year are, Bronze ($100 and $999 - water bottle), Silver ($1,000 and $1,999 - umbrella), and Gold (over $2,000 - umbrellas and CBA CFC coin).

Married couples are permitted to combine their donations if they would like to receive an upgrade incentive gift.

The APG CFC Day, including the CFC Charity Fair, Kick-off Ceremony, and Campaign Coordinator and Key Worker Training Session, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on September 15th at the APG Recreation Center. APG CFC Office will also be participating in the Newcomers Orientation on September 8th.

APG CFC is planning to host APG CFC Charity 5K Run in the Aberdeen Area during this year's campaign.

There will be an APG CFC Online Silent Auction which includes a Fort McHenry print by Christopher White which begins on September 1st. We are accepting donations for the silent auction under the APG CFC Guidance:

Flags flown at other sites with certificates

Wines (stored off site)

Brand new Items

No Illegal items as such as drugs, stolen items

No broken or not working items

Print, Painting, Art and Crafts

All CFC Coordinators and Key Workers will be required to attend the Kick Off Ceremony and CFC Training at the Aberdeen Recreation Center, APG North from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 15.

Make up Coordinator/Key Worker Training will be conducted at the RDECOM Conference Center Theater on the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 22.

Every Garrison Supported Organization is requested to provide the names of campaign coordinators and key workers (one key worker per 20 employees according to AR 600-29) to the APG CFC Office.
