Garrison to Change Command, Pastorelli to become Chief of USASAC

Redstone Arsenal, Ala.- The <a href="http://www.garrison.redstone.army.mil/" target="_blank">U.S. Army Garrison at Redstone Arsenal</a> Change of Command will take place at Bob Jones Auditorium Oct. 15. Col. Robert M. Pastorelli will pass command of the Garrison to Col. John S. Hamilton during the ceremony.
Throughout his tenure as Garrison Commander, Pastorelli was instrumental in effecting the positive growth of Redstone Arsenal and the surrounding communities. His leadership helped guide the smooth implementation of the 2005 BRAC Directive, the Enhanced Use Lease project, the Non-BRAC growth as well as a multitude of improvements on Redstone Arsenal.
"Bob is a true team player, with a vision towards the future of Redstone and the Tennessee Valley, and a unique knack for overcoming any challenges along the way," said Maj. Gen. Jim Myles, commanding general of Aviation and Missile Command and Redstone Arsenal. "He has worked tirelessly to provide the very best support to the Redstone community."
Col Pastorelli will become the chief of staff for the <a href="http://www.army.mil/info/organization/unitsandcommands/commandstructure/usasac/" target="_blank">United States Army Security Assistance Command</a> on Redstone Arsenal after the change of command.
"I am proud to remain a part of Team Redstone and very honored to have had the pleasure of working with the Soldiers, family members, civilians, contractors and retirees," said Pastorelli.
