This $20,000 bonus can be combined with other existing cash enlistment bonuses. The maximum combination of cash bonuses for a four-year or more year enlistment is $40,000.

Cash enlistment bonuses may also be combined with either the Army's Loan Repayment Program or the Army College Fund, but not both. The Army College Fund, which is available to recruits who select high-priority specialties, offers up to $72,900 for higher education when combined with the Montgomery GI Bill. The Student Loan Repayment Program, available to all recruits with qualifying student loans who enlist for at least three years in any military occupational specialty, can repay up to $65,000.

Individuals who have prior military service may also be eligible for the $20,000 bonus if they enlist for three or more years. The bonus is also offered to those Future Soldiers who have already signed an enlistment contract and can ship prior to Aug. 27.

The Army only accesses the highest quality individuals for service in the Army. To be eligible for the bonus, applicants must meet educational levels and Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery scores.

The bonus is open to all Military Occupational Specialties.

The maximum amount that can be offered through a combination of cash enlistment bonuses is $20,000 for a two-year enlistment, $25,000 for a three-year enlistment, and $40,000 for an enlistment of four or more years.

The Army has offered a quick ship bonus in the past. As with other incentives, offering this type of bonus gives the Army the flexibility to meet its accession mission. The previous seasonal bonus ranged up to $15,000 depending on the priority of the MOS. The previous range had been $3,000, $6,000, $12,000 and $15,000, depending on the length of enlistment. Those bonuses were for applicants without prior service who enlisted for three or more years. This bonus could be combined with all other incentives.
