The 411th Contracting Support Brigade welcomes incoming commander, Col. Fred Puthoff

Thursday, July 15, Col. Fred Puthoff accepted command of the 411th Contracting Support Brigade from Col. Daniel Rosso at a ceremony at the Dragon Hill Lodge in Yongsan, Korea.

Brig. Gen Joe Bass, commanding general of the Expeditionary Contracting Command, presided over the ceremony. ECC is a subordinate command of the Army Contracting Command.

The 411th provides contracting support across the full spectrum of military operations allowing maximum flexibility to the joint warfighting customer in Korea; and during expeditionary operations throughout the Pacific Theater. The 411th CSB also supports contingencies with trained contracting officers worldwide.

Puthoff last served as the deputy director of the National Contracting Organization for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C. His previous assignments include Technical Contract Administration Division Chief, U.S. Army Contracting Command Korea, Yongsan, Korea; Services Division Chief, U.S. Army Contracting Command Korea; Chief of the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, and Communications Tactical Liaison and Site Integration Office, Yongsan, Korea; Commander, National Training Center Acquisition Command, Fort Irwin, California; and Deputy Director of the National Contracting Organization, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington, DC.

Col. Rosso's next duty assignment will be with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
