The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) has just been announced as the award recipient of two fiscal year 2009 Department of the Army Small Business Program Awards. USASMDC/ARSTRAT received two of the possible six Army Small Business Program Awards.

The awards were measured against six award criteria and competed among 10 Army major commands. The two awards recognized USASMDC/ARSTRAT's outstanding achievement and continuous improvement in the Small Business Program category and the Woman Owned Small Business Program category.

These awards illustrate the team effort of USASMDC/ARSTRAT supporting the Army's Small Business Programs. Christina Ryan, the associate director for small business programs at USASMDC/ARSTRAT, will be accepting the awards on behalf of the command.

The awards are to be presented by Ms. Tracey Pinson (Department of the Army, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Director of Small Business Programs) during the 6th Annual National Veterans Small Business Conference and Army Associate Directors meeting the week of July 19-23 in Nevada.
