How to assist the family of Chief Warrant Officer Michael Doe

By John Harlow/USAG-Natick Public Affairs OfficerJuly 7, 2010

Chief Warrant Officer Michael Doe has expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of support for his family in this trying time.

Several individuals and organizations have asked if there is a means by which they may direct gifts to the Doe family. In response to this outpouring, we have asked the NSSC Director of Army Community Services to coordinate receipt of voluntary donations.

Please understand Army Regulation (AR 1-101) governs gifts intended for distribution to individuals. These gifts are limited to only those items that promote health, comfort, convenience, and morale. Specifically prohibited are gifts of cash or cash equivalents, such as gift cards. While there is no regulatory dollar limit placed on the value of the goods offered, the donor is responsible for the transportation of the goods offered.

To find out how you can assist, please contact Mr. Kent Brickman, Natick Army Community Service at nati-acs@us.army.mil, (508) 233-4485.
