Pay it Forward
TOBYHANNA ARMY DEPOT, PA. - Volunteers were honored for 2009 efforts at the Volunteer Luncheon. About 135 people attended the event. Each volunteer was presented with a certificate of appreciation. Lori Martin of the Women's Club earned Volunteer of the Year. Depot commander Col. Charles Gibson presented a Commander's Coin to each organization's lead volunteer and depot Sgt. Maj. Kelvin Spencer awarded Sgt. First Class Anthony Clark (High Tech instructor and mayor of Tobyhanna Pines Housing) with the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. The luncheon theme this year was "Tobyhanna's Marvel-ous Volunteer Heroes." Special guest speaker was Spiderman. Above, lead volunteer representatives display the check showing how much money volunteer efforts saved. The check is made out to Tobyhanna Army Depot in the amount of $320,390.43.
