FORT BELVOIR, Va. - The American Army was on display Friday on Fort Belvoir's Fremont Field as Soldiers from The 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) performed the military pageant known as Twilight Tattoo.

The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own;" the U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from The U.S. Army Band Downrange; The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps; The Continental Color Guard; The Commander-in-Chief's Guard and The U.S. Army Drill Team performed for an hour to an appreciative audience that filled bleachers and grounds.

Soldiers in uniforms depicting our military history through the ages performed patriotic music using fifes and drums. Highlighting the event was the U.S. Army Drill Team as members demonstrated their practiced precision with rifles. The finale included retirement of the colors and singing The Army Song.
