Ten nervous but excited Soldiers from 7th Signal Command (Theater) and Fort Gordon, Ga., participated in tandem free fall parachute jumps with members of the U. S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights, recently. 7th Signal Command (Theater) organized the event to help commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Army's Signal Corps. One of ten, Staff Sgt. Garrett Grubb, operations NCO, South Theater Network Operations Center (in yellow) lands in tandem with Sgt. Mike Elliott, Golden Knights tandem team leader, following a jump from about 13,000 feet. 7th Signal Command (Theater), with headquarters at Fort Gordon, Ga., provides and defends network capabilities and services for Army, Joint, Interagency and Multinational forces in the Western Hemisphere to enable operations and battle command.
