Fort Lee earns award
FORT LEE, Va. (May 6, 2010) -- The U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Lee, earned a silver medal for an environmental government program in Virginia recently. Governor Bob McDonnell, R-Va., presented the award to Melissa Magowan, deputy to the commander, USAG, Fort Lee; John Ballenger, Environmental Management Office; and Andrew Duggan, EMO. Fort Lee received the award due to its dedication in sustaining military readiness by balancing mission requirements with the protection of the natural environment.
