Fourteen personnel recently graduated from the Army Materiel Command-sponsored Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. This four week course teaches students the principles, practices and tools of LSS to maximize cost reductions and improve customer satisfaction. Each graduate received a course completion certificate for training. Graduates are expected to complete Black Belt level projects as a requirement for Department of the Army certification.
Students in the class represented a variety of organizations to include: the Army Contracting Center; Army Research Laboratory; CECOM Life Cycle Management Command; Edgewood Chemical Biological Center; Ohio National Guard; Program Executive Office Integration; Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, & Sensors; U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command; and USA Joint Health Service Agency.
