- The training opportunity was part of the 2010 Philip A. Connelly Awards program that recognizes top talents in military food service.
- The culinary staff at John Ascuaga's Nugget Hotel shared their skills with several cuisines including Southwestern, Asian and appetizers.
- The Connelly competition is managed by the Quartermaster School's Joint Culinary Center of Excellence at Fort Lee, Va.
