Actor Karri Turner sent an open letter to Servicemembers and their Families expressing her support for their service and sacrifice. Hers is the fourth such letter as part of the "Letter from Hollywood" project created by fellow actor and friend D.B. Sweeney.

This letter is one of many ways Turner has supported the military over the years. Her countless visits to combat zones, military hospitals and facilities and other duty stations far from home, bring comfort to the men and women serving our country.

In addition to her work with the USO, Turner's support to the troops extends to the American Freedom Foundation where she serves on the board and participates in the American Freedom Festival which raises money for a variety of charities supporting military veterans and their families.

Sweeny initiated the "Letter from Hollywood" project and is collecting letters from his Hollywood friends to show support and thank the men and women in uniform for their sacrifice and service to the nation.

A new letter of support will be posted every Tuesday on the Army Community Covenant Web site. Feedback is welcome on the Community Covenant Facebook discussion board.
