William Bigelow, AFN Europe commander, and Christian Hepp, acting director for the Department of Strategic Affairs for the city of Wiesbaden, joined Lon Blair, AFN Wiesbaden's operations manager, for the unveiling ceremony. "This reflects to the community that we are here for them," said Bigelow. During the ceremony, Blair reflected on the more than six decades of service starting with AFN Frankfurt broadcasting from a castle in Frankfurt-Höchst and its move to Wiesbaden in 2004. The change from AFN Hessen to AFN Wiesbaden was aimed at better aligning the station with "the people we serve," said Blair.
