  • Soldiers of Companies C and D, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, stand in formation during the interment ceremony in honor of retired Army Gen. Frederick C. Weyand at Honolulu's National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Feb. 27. Weyand, who served as the 27th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army and a former commanding general of both the 25th Inf. Div. and U.S. Army Pacific, routinely directed the efforts of the 2/27 "Wolfhounds" during his command leadership throughout the Vietnam War.
