The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) season ended December 15 after three months of donation collection to various charities. Employees at the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) collected money globally, at six different locations/units. Overall, USASMDC/ARSTRAT employees donated $174,694, which was 137 percent of the goal of $127,000.

Lt. Gen. Kevin T. Campbell, commanding general, USASMDC/ARSTRAT, expressed his satisfaction with the command's achievement, calling the campaign a "success" and thanking everyone across the command for contributing.

The G1 Personnel office coordinates the CFC program for the command. Lt. Col. Gwendolyn Lee, USASMDC/ARSTRAT Deputy Chief of Staff G1, also was pleased with the results.

"USASMDC/ARSTRAT's donations speak volumes and our success this year is overwhelming," said Lee. "As our Nation is experiencing the dynamics of the economy, it has not impacted our basic human spirit nor our ability to give our hard-earned dollars to support an organization that could possibly help our family, friends and co-workers."

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally helping to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
