New York Governor "coins" New York Army National Guard Officer
Tarrytown, NY-- New York Governor David Paterson (right) "coins" New York Army National Guard 1st Lt. Tara Dawe, on Saturday Dec. 5, during a visit to her company's Yellow Ribbon pre-mobilization meeting at the Marriott Hotel here, as Major General Joseph Taluto, the Adjutant General of New York, looks on. Dawe, the commander of the New York Army National Guard's 442nd Military Police Company deployed with the unit to Iraq in 2003-2004 as an enlisted Soldier. Now, Dawe, who joined the Army in 1994, is the company commander and will lead its Soldiers back to Iraq in 2010.
