Christmas trees delivered to Japan
Marjorie Perez (left), transportation management specialist with SDDC's 836th Transportation Battalion, works with Japanese Plant and Quarantine officials to inspect and clear the annual shipment of Christmas trees at the American President's Line Terminal in the Yokohama Commercial Port complex. The assortment of fir trees were harvested in Oregon last month and shipped to Japan in support of the Army Air Force Exchange Services. The 836th Transportation Battalion arranges for the delivery of the trees to Camp Zama in time for AAFES annual tree sales. The Christmas trees will go on sale at the Camp Zama Main Exchange on November 27.
