PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command's Contracting Division in Colorado Springs, Colo., hosted a special event Thursday, Oct. 22, as part of the fundraising effort for the 2009 Combined Federal Campaign.

The breakfast event included guest speakers from the Pikes Peak Humane Society, Care and Share, and the American Red Cross, who all shared how CFC has assisted their organizations over the years.

According to Contracting Division's Andrea O'Neill, CFC Coordinator for Building 3, members of Contracting donated the food and supplies for the breakfast, so 100 percent of the $522 raised was donated to CFC.

The contribution goal for USASMDC/ARSTRAT in Colorado Springs is $15,000, and the total contribution to date is slightly more than $10,800. The fundraising drive will last through the month of October.
