• CAMP LIBERTY, Iraq - First Lt. Frank Sarratt, executive officer of the 211th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Division Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, receives a Purple Heart and the Combat Action Badge from DSTB commander, Lt. Col. Matthew Karres, during a ceremony, here, Sept. 11. Sarratt, a native of Plano, Texas, was wounded in an improvised explosive device attack last month. Karres said presenting the awards on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks against the United States was appropriate. "I like doing the ceremonies out here, because it is dusty and dirty and that's what we're about," he said. "This symbolizes the reality of what we're doing here. It's about combat, it's about fighting the enemy."
