The U.S. Army Community Relations Division, a component of the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, launched a new web site today, Aug. 20. The site is designed to communicate key messages and themes and educate the American public on current Army events and initiatives.

The Division, headquartered at the Pentagon, serves as the Army's senior outreach effort. The staff communicates with the Army, the public and partnering organizations to tell Soldiers' stories through a variety of mediums bringing the nation closer to the Soldiers who serve them.

The launch of this web site provides insight into Army community relations initiatives and resources to connect visitors to the U.S. Army. The web site includes capabilities to request Army assets and speaker assistance for local community events, and an RSS feed for events posted to the community relations calendar.

Recently, CRD has launched sites for two of their regional offices: OCPA-Midwest (Chicago) and OCPA-Northeast (New York City). The OCPA-West (Los Angeles) site is scheduled to launch by the end of this month. For more information, visit the CRD web site at http://www.army.mil/comrel.
