<h4>Military Appreciation</h4>
<p>The surrounding civilian communities bordering Fort Rucker military reservation provide numerous volunteers, products, services and substantial donations to ensure the post MWR annual events are a success for the Soldiers and their Families living and working on Fort Rucker. Some of the events include Oktoberfest, Freedom Fest, Children's Festivals, BOSS events, sporting events on Lake Tholocco, the Soldier Show, and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.</p>
<h4>United Way's "2-1-1 Service"</h4>
<p>This program covers seven counties surrounding the Fort Rucker installation and it is operational 24/7. Services include information referral to community health care, state and government services, mortgage assistance to name a select few. "2-1-1 Service" is toll free and can also be accessed on line.</p>
