<h4>Washington Waterfront Association</h4>

<p>Private Washington, DC, businesses organize and host events throughout the year for military personnel. The Thanksgiving Cruise on a charter river boat that sails on the Potomac River and the Christmas Dinner hosted for Soldiers who are not able to go home for the holidays due to mission requirements. Invitees are primarily from the Fort Myer Military Community, the Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and members from the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington DC. Donations are only solicited internally to the association. The Washington Waterfront Association also sponsors the Cherry Blossom Festival every Spring and invites Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) out to participate in concession sales to raise money for Soldier events.</p>

<h4>Patriot Pass Program</h4>

<p>The Arlington Chamber of Commerce hosts the Patriot Pass Program which solicits donations of unused tickets to various concerts and sporting events in the National Capital Region from its charter members and businesses for use by Soldiers from the Fort Myer Military Community.
