The Fisher House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The Foundation donates "comfort homes" on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers so family members can be near their service member if they are hospitalized due to unexpected illness, disease or injury. Fisher House has at least one home near every major military medical center and focuses on providing comfort and support to families. There is no charge for a stay at a Fisher House. The Foundation also facilitates the Hero Miles Program, Newman's Own Award, and Scholarships for Military Children.
