<h4>Veterans Memorial and Arbor Day ceremony</h4>

<p>Thirty-four trees, all in memory or in honor of local veterans, line Veterans Memorial Highway in Greencastle, IN. The community hosts a special ceremony each year to honor veterans and promote tree planting. <h4>Indiana National Guard Relief Fund</h4>

<p>The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund provides financial relief grants to Service Members and their Families for non-deployment related financial crisis such as loss of civilian job, loss of income, or related financial emergency. The Fund can provide additional relief to Service Members and their Family who suffer financial crisis directly linked to mobilization and overseas deployment. <h4>Kids AT</h4>

<p>Annual Kids AT gives military youth of Indiana National Guard the opportunity to participate in onsite, weeklong "Annual Training" at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. Youth from the ages of 9-17 are encouraged to rappel, swim, camp, fire weapons, participate in a leadership reaction and confidence course, and show their unique handicraft skills. <h4>Operation Re-Connect</h4>

<p>The goal of Operation Re-Connect is for Soldiers and their Families to re-connect in a relaxed and fun filled environment without incurring additional financial burdens. Operation Re-Connect arranges for Indiana National Guard Families to attend family oriented theme parks and attractions located within the state at no cost to the service member. <h4>Military Spouse Residency Relief Act</h4>

<p>On November 11, 2009, the President signed into law the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act. This Act, among other things, provides that when a service member leaves his or her home State in accord with military or naval orders, the service member's spouse may retain residency in his or her home State for voting and tax purposes, after relocating from that State to accompany the service member. In the State of Indiana an exemption from Indiana withholding tax may be claimed if an employees spouse is a member of the US Armed Services and their state of legal residence is not Indiana.
