<h4>Financial Support</h4>

<p>The California National Guard Financial Assistance Fund (CNGFAF) was established to assist California National Guard Members and their families who experience financial difficulties as a result of deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom. <h4>Veterans Village of San Diego</h4>

<p>Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD), also known as Vietnam Veterans of San Diego, is dedicated to extending assistance to needy and homeless veterans of all wars and eras and their families by providing housing, food, clothing, substance abuse recovery and mental health counseling, job training and job search assistance. <a href="http://www.vvsd.net">www.vvsd.net</a></p>

<h4>The Pathway Home</h4>

<p>The Pathway Home Program is a Residential Recovery program specifically created for, and dedicated to service members who have served our Nation's Global War on Terror in areas of the world such as Afghanistan and Iraq. <h4>Vietnam Veterans of California</h4>

<p>Vietnam Veterans of California (VVC) offers community-based activities for veterans and their families. With four service centers in Northern California, VVC is focused on veteransAca,!a,,c issues and works to design innovative programs, which respond to the diverse needs of veterans and the community. VVC helps address the issues of employment counseling and training, transitional housing, alcohol/drug recovery, and humanitarian efforts. <a

<h4>Military Spouse Residency Relief Act</h4>

<p>On November 11, 2009, the President signed into law the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act. This Act, among other things, provides that when a service member leaves his or her home state in accord with military or naval orders, the service member's spouse may retain residency in his or her home state for voting and tax purposes, after relocating from that state to accompany the service member. In the State of California an exemption from California withholding tax may be claimed if an employees spouse is a member of the U.S. Armed Services and their state of legal residence is not California.
