Equal opportunity leaders learn, teach photo
Soldiers participate in a perspectives development activity during equal opportunity training July 13.

The U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Equal Opportunity (EO) Office staff hosted a quarterly Equal Opportunity Leader Course from July 13 through July 17. Soldiers from U.S. Army Central, USAG and the Atlanta and Los Angeles Recruiting Battalions learned how to best represent and assist their respective commanders in carrying out their EO program.
Soldiers participated in activities designed to illuminate the many perspectives and shared values in contrast to opposing viewpoints. One such activity, entitled "man overboard," had the members stranded in a foundering boat in shark-infested waters, where they had to eliminate each other from the boat, knowing those eliminated were facing certain doom.
At the end of the course, students gave a 10- minute presentation on an EO topic of their choice to their fellow Soldiers.
