CHIAfE+VRES, Belgium Aca,!" ChiAfA..vres Garrison officials unveiled a Web site July 13 focused on helping newcomers make a successful transition into the community.

The tool serves as a resource center for new community members, offering information on relocation services, inprocessing, settling in and housing, among other topics.

ChiAfA..vres Garrison relocation readiness manager Veronique Hensgens said the site compliments the command's relocation program.

"Starting off right sets the tone for a successful tour here," Hensgens said. "It takes a team effort to welcome newcomers to the community, and that effort starts with good information.

"We want people to feel like they belong here right from the start," she continued. "We have an in-depth support network of people that understand the needs of Servicemembers and their families stationed overseas."

The site is a way to engage a newcomer from the point he or she receives orders here until successful integration into the community, ChiAfA..vres Garrsion Manager John Paugh said.

"The opportunities for success here in this region are endless," Paugh said. "From the importance of supporting U.S. interests in NATO, to the historical richness of the region, to the central European location, this tour can be very rewarding for the entire family. This site helps us communicate that from the start."

The site is located on the ChiAfA..vres Garrison homepage under the newcomers tab on the left navgation bar.
