An Afghan villager carefully places a brick while constructing a wall at Forward Operating Base Bostick in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, as part of ongoing base expansions across the country. Earlier in the year, President Barrack Obama called for additional combat and combat support troops in Afghanistan to provide increased security and humanitarian missions in the countries eastern and southern regions.
