Jobs, new hotel subject of next BRAC community update

You are invited to the monthly BRAC Community Update Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m. at the National Infantry Museum.

Learn more about recent developments in our efforts to transform Fort Benning into the Maneuver Center of Excellence and how it will impact the Chattahoochee Valley. The update will include information about new construction, a timeline on the arrival of 30,000 permanent party Soldiers and civilians, civilian hiring and job creation and more.

Following a brief update by Jay Brown, BRAC program manager, Al Gelineau, director of Morale, Welfare and Recreation, will speak about a number of quality-of-life initiatives, including the construction of a 800-room hotel on Main Post.

The update will include a question-and-answer period.
