  • Soldier's from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment "The Old Guard" and the U.S. Army Band "Pershings Own" presented the annual Twilight Tattoo at Fort Hamilton, New York, June 19. Persistent rainfall drove the event indoors and thinned the crowd to approximately 150. The Army's top performing units were equal to task with outstanding performances from the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps and the U.S. Army Drill Team. The troops also saluted the Army's noncommissioned officer corps in a peformance honoring the Army's heritage and featuring period uniforms dating from the Revolution to the present.
