Calling all Army Family Action Plan Volunteers!

The upcoming Fort Myer Military Community AFAP Conference is scheduled to be held at Fort Myer Spates Community Club August 25-26 2009. We are looking for delegates and other AFAP conference staff to represent the Fort Myer Military Community.

If you are interested in this opportunity, or you would like to know more about the AFAP process so that you may get involved, please contact Robin Cordovez, AFAP Program Manager at the Army Community Service (ACS) at 703-696-0168 or at robin.leigh.machel@us.army.mil. Training will be provided and childcare is available.

AFAP is looking for things you want to change about the Army locally (commissary hours, classes available for youth) or across the entire force (amount of Tuition Assistance provided to each individual). Soldiers and Family Members can contribute issues whether they participate in the conference or not. FMMC has conducted a separate conference for teens the last several years. This conference in August will allow the teens to participate in their own workgroup at the same time. Therefore, teen delegates are also needed.

ALL members of the Fort Myer Military Community (Active Duty Military Members, Retirees, DoD Civilians, Family Members, National Guard, Reserve, Dual Military and Single Soldiers) are invited to be part of this local AFAP process.
