Commentary: Fort Campbell life tough, rewarding

By Lisa Davis, Military SpouseMay 8, 2009

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (May 7, 2009) - Being a military spouse whether you are female or male is one of the toughest and most challenging jobs, but at the end of it all it is the most rewarding experience ever.

The thing I love the most about being a military spouse is the honor you feel towards your spouse who goes through more than most could or would imagine. I am so proud of my husband for doing what he does. It has changed us so much and has brought us much closer then we have ever been.

It makes me feel good when someone comes up to my husband, Spc. William Davis, and takes his hand and shakes it with a big welcoming "Thank You for all you have done."

To me that is the most rewarding part in the end.

I give thanks and blessings to all our service members and to their families--especially to the military spouses.
