• PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, Calif. -- Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center students participate in an Afghan sport known as Ghorsai. The object of the game is to prevent the other team members from making it to their designated goal area.  The catch is to do this on one leg with teammembers being disqualified by either losing their balance or touching both feet on the ground.

Barry Arsala, a Dari assistant professor, said the activity allows the students to build teamwork and experience Afghan culture while also creating a "stronger bridge between the teachers and students."
